oppression isn’t generational and trying to frame politics as “the old people are wrong and the young people are right” erases the fact that there are old people who have been fighting the good fight for decades and the fact that there are young people who are literally nazis

Plus while there might be less old people fighting the good fight it’s usually because they were killed or were part of the minorities that have poor living conditions that kill you early

Fucking hell if it’s just like talking about lgbt rights activists in history class then it’s fine, but that wouldn’t even be new, do people not learn about Harvey milk? Or about how the lgbt community worked with the miner strike in the 80’s?

Y’all don’t fucking get that to introduce this stuff to history classes shouldn’t be “oooooo look how diverse and liberated we are” If you want lgbt’s to be considered normal stop acting like we’re special.

And I think you’ll struggle to find a high school history class that extensively covers the LGBT communities roll in miner strikes.

This is a good thing, that’s intended to teach everyone about the LGBT community. Lots of homophobia stems from ignorance and this is to counter that.
