I want to know about the things going on in the world, and be an educated participant in society
but psychologically and biologically I can’t live my life to a continuous background chant of “everything is awful, everything is awful, everything is awful,”
and I still don’t really know where the balance is.

My sister has recently been kicked out by my abusive parents because of who she loves. My mom has emptied my sisters bank account and locked her out of it. Both my parents and financially neglecting her as well as cutting her out of our family (I’m still secretly keeping contact with her.)
My sister is looking for a job right now. She did not have a job previously because she had a hard time balancing college and work, but this is an emergency. One of her friends took her in, so she has shelter. But thanks to my bastard parents, she’s penniless.
Please PLEASE help her I can’t find a job cause I’m 15 so I can’t work for her all I can do is beg, which is really embarrassing. But she’s the only person in my family that cares about my well being and makes me feel safe in a house that is practically a death trap. If you can’t donate, reblog. Please. Republicans: Felons should NEVER regain the right to vote. Got a felony for pot possession when you were 21? Fuck off. If you can’t follow the law, you don’t get to vote on the law.
Also Republicans: I mean, even if Kavanaugh IS an attempted rapist who drank underage in high school, whatever. It’s not disqualifying even if its true. I still think he should serve a LIFETIME POSITION ON THE SUPREME COURT.
Not only that, but he perjured himself 3 separate times in front of the Senate, first during his confirmation when Bush nominated him to the DC court, again during his SCOTUS hearing, and then again this past week.
Perjury is, wait for it, a felony.

Yeah in a lot of places in the USA any felony charge loses you the right to vote. It’s called felony disenfranchisement
… Wouldn’t that allow government to strip opposition activists of political rights by arresting them on manufactured charges? That sounds EXTREMELY undemocratic and easily exploitable.
We had to write a Mini Comic for my Illustration Class so I did mine based on The Frog and The Scorpion. Hopefully you all know the story!
But if you don’t know the story… In the original the scorpion stings the frog in the middle of the river. When the frog asks “why” the scorpion says “it’s in my nature” and they both die. I like my ending more.
Done with watercolor and pen and ink nib.
I always thought this story was fucked up, even when I heard it as a very young child. I even got put in the naughty corner, and a star next to my name crossed off for questioning it.
This story is so much better, and I like it’s message much more.
