Wow. After your post, I really don’t trust people who are against the accords. I’ve always been team Iron Man, but being quite honest, I could understand some points from Cap’s pov. But not like that. It’s exactly as you said, one group of superpowered people can’t be the only force without anyone saying so. And for people afraid that the UN would use them for nefarious purpose, they have a choice. They can just not do the thing. And let’s be honest here, cap wasn’t worried about politics, (+)

Cap was more worried about Bucky than anything else. Which is fair but also dumb, because it just made everything worse. But the thing that just can enter my mind is how people think that cap was right and all 177 nations were wrong about the avengers having to have accountability over their actions. And time and time again, the only one who proved and shown in canon that has is Tony. (and let’s be honest, it’s not about well written or not movie)

I love cap, i understand why he did the things he did, but he was selfish. The sheer scope that something like this would involve is ridiculous and no, one man cannot accomplish that. One man cannot say he stands for this world when he refuses to listen to it.

Like, idk, maybe everyone needs to watch/read more political intrigue stuff instead of superhero shiz because if they can’t see how dumb his side was then yeah, dont trust em.

Okay, so I’m going to start this with the most obvious:
She let Steve and Bucky go.
For NO REASON. All she did was stare into Steve’s eyes and they came to a what? Mutual understanding or something about??? I’m so confused??? So she just turns and lets them go and then electrocutes T’challa like it’s no biggie.
I just don’t understand why she let them go when she was there, watching what Tony had gone through, was going through. She knew the position they were in. She knew the legalities and everything.
She used to work for S.H.E.I.L.D. for crying out loud! She knew how the government works and what needs to be done. It’s like she just decided to flip for no reason. It makes me so bitter at her because she was there to witness Tony’s “my left arm is numb is that normal?”
NATASHA ROMANOFF YOU KNOW BETTER.
And at the end, on HER decision to let Steve and Bucky go she fucking tells Tony,
“WE went around this the wrong way.”
FIRST OFF HOW? How’d did you go about it the wrong way??? She never explains what changed her mind. I would love to know why she was on board through the whole thing, THE WHOLE THING. The entire process, the fight of the airport battle. Shit she even fought Clint, her friend who she trusts the most right? But that didn’t change her mind about anything. Nope, not until she looked into Steve’s baby blues and was like ‘nope, never mind, let them go’
I am baffled. And then she has the nerve to say ‘we’.
I am BITTER. And SALTY. MAD.
And then, THEN, when Tony tells her that, ‘oh, hey btw t’challa told the government and police that you electrocuted him and let the wanted fugitives escape so they’re going to come for you. heads up’
SHE GETS MAD AT TONY LIKE, NATASHA IT ISN’T HIS FAULT YOU MADE THAT CHOICE AT THE AIRPORT. THERE ARE REPERCUSSIONS FOR EVERY ACTION.
Did she think it’d be okay???? It’s like Clint all over again!!
And her “I’m not the one who needs to watch their back.” Before fleeing to god knows where because Tony, Tony Stark, gave her a heads up. Gave her ample time to do so.
I may be in the minority here because I haven’t heard a lot of people talking about it but I’m mad as hell. Because she did betray Tony when it counted. When Tony counted on every member of his team to do what they set out to do at the airport: try to talk the other team down, and if not: contain/capture with minimal damage and she did a complete 180 with no reason.

And the crazy thing is, she was the one who brought in T’Challa! She recruits him, knowing he is out for blood, then can’t handle the fight with Rogers getting real?

Y’ALL!!! I am so glad of this post. I thought the exact same things since first watching cacw and like, no one talks about this???
