This innocent kid had a pen in his hand, was excited about his graduation and ended up dead just a few hours before it  just because one of the cops thought Tommy had a knife in his hand, but it was a pen. He killed Tommy because of a FREAKING PEN. How do you justify that?

It’s also hard to watch his story not getting as much attention it deserves. He deserves justice and cops should pay for their brutality.

The police searched his home and found knives they’re testing to see if they were involved in the incident??? Every home has knives. They’re just trying to find some tiny thing to cover their own asses.

Why folks always wanna include the black community like we suppose to fight for everyone ?

Because people legit find reasons to hate black people. I’m sorry that this happened to this kid. It is a tragedy. But how did Black Lives Matter come into this?

Honestly. Last time I checked, Asians don’t speak up for black people who are murdered. You can’t expect people of color solidarity when you don’t give out what you wish to receive. Furthermore, Asians also perpetuate antiblackness. Asians need to SPEAK UP FOR THEMSELVES first. I was told by an Asian friend that it’s not in their culture to speak up but this is America. Racial tensions are extremely high. Stop acting like a hypocrite, stand on your own two feet, and stop expecting black people to save everyone’s asses. I don’t even know why you brought black people into this. Smh!

wait why is blm in this convo? I think this twitter person is saying that the same people who complain that blm doesn’t speak up for Asians don’t speak up for Asians themselves, which is true. Asians aren’t a homogeneous group at all, a joke we like to say is Asians are most racist to ourselves so I’d imagine with all the different Asians culture some are taught to stay out of trouble more than others. As an Asian person it’s frustrating bc I can’t always talk to other Asians about our own oppression! TBH I’m kind of envious that other groups seem to be on the same page for the most part. Most of the Asians I surround myself with now do speak up for us and blm etc so there are a lot of vocal Asians. Often our voice is there but not heard, in niche corners of the internet are there activist Asians. I ofc can’t speak for all Asians but just know that there are us who really care about black lives. I want to do more. I’ll correct Asians when I can. I want solidarity, and I’m sure others do too.
