Wish you could bookmark a fic that isn’t on AO3?

babybrotherdean:

Well, surprise: you’re in luck!

AO3 actually has an external bookmarking option that allows you to create a bookmark with AO3′s usual bookmarking format, among your regular AO3 bookmarks, of a fic on any other platform- LJ, ff.net, or whatever other website you please. I feel like it’s a suuuuuper underutilized function, so you should definitely all check it out:

If you go to your bookmarks page, you’ll see this option up near the top right, right under the search bar:

“Bookmark External Work.” That’ll take you to this page…

Which allows you to enter all the information about a fic that you would normally enter on AO3- the link, the author’s name, title, author’s summary, fandoms, rating, tags, etc. You’re basically creating a mini little AO3 file for that fic, so you can keep it handy with all your other bookmarks.

Anyways- I just wanted to make this post since I know there are a ton of amazing fics on LJ and other platforms, and it can be frustrating trying to keep everything organized between platforms when you just want to see all your faves in one place, so here’s a little PSA that’ll hopefully make that a bit easier.

The Body Shapes of the World’s Best Athletes Compared Side By Side

Health and fitness comes in all shapes and sizes. Every single one of these athletes is a certified bad-ass.

I’ve posted this before but it’s worth reblogging!

Just a reminder – if you’re drawing a team superhero book and more than one of your characters has the same build YOU’RE DOING IT ALL WRONG

Always reblog

This is excellent.

FREE ART PROGRAMS

fauchereve:

So recently I came across a fellow artist who was struggling to find a free art program, and considering dropping the large amount of money for a Photoshop license. I know not everyone can afford such an expensive program, so I’ve compiled a list of programs with no cost to download and use.

Keep in mind all computers are different, so not all will work for everyone. Also, I’ve only ever used Windows, so for the most part, I’m not sure if everything will work for Mac. if in doubt check the website linked.

Photoshop CS2 – (Windows, not sure about Mac.)

FireAlpaca – (Windows and Mac)

Sketchbook Copic Edition – (Windows and Mac)

GIMP – (Windows) (Mac)

Paint tool SAI [cracked]  – (Windows) (Mac)

Paint tool SAI 2 beta – (tumblr post on said program)

iPaint – (Mac)

Paintbrush – (Mac)

Pencil – (Windows, Mac)

Paint.NET – (Windows)

Seashore [still in development, ver 0.5] – (Mac)

ChocoFlop – (Mac)

Inkscape – (Mac and Windows)

ArtRage [Demo] – (Mac and Windows)

OpenCanvas 1.1[must pay for 2.0] – (Windows, not sure about Mac.)

MyPaint – (Windows)

Krita – (Windows)

Vectorian [Supports Animation] – (Windows)

Pixia[Japanese, some English versions] – (Windows)

Asperite – (Windows)

Chasys Draw IES – (Windows)

SmoothDraw – (Windows)

TwistedBrush Open Studio – (Windows)

BOUNS – CTRL+Paint [Great for teaching all kinds of stuff, like how to use digital programs.]

If you know more free programs, please add onto this!

OpenToonz has made many improvements since it’s initial release! (Windows & Mac)

Medibang Paint is a comic drawing software forked from FireAlpaca mentioned earlier in this post, and is available for mobile devices as well! (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android)

reblogging so i remember to download SAI for Mac later

Reblogged to check out later

I have FireAlpaca but reblogging for yall!
