I’m team cap, pro Steve, Bucky, Sam, etc. I’m not exactly anti tony (given the fact that I don’t really care about him to actually have a reason to not like him. I just feel like if I knew him in real life I’d punch him in the face within 5 minutes of meeting him). So I really don’t don’t get into the whole discourse (even though it’s funny)

But if y’all t0ny stans could keep y’all lily white hands of my black favs (t’challa, wakanda as a whole, even Rodney) that would be fucking fantastic

Who the fuck is “Rodney”??? How about you fucking spell RHODEY’S name right before accusing Tony stans of not appreciating him. Cause it sounds like you’re the one who doesn’t actually appreciate him, so why don’t YOU keep his name out of your mouth? (which shouldn’t be too hard tbh since you can’t even spell it right,,,,,)

The funny thing is, his name isn’t even rhodey. That’s a nickname lovingly given to him by his best friend tony stark. His name is Colonel James Rhodes and you need to step off. He also nicknames tony “tones” which is adorable

Black tony!stan here. (I guess I count as a stan?) Yes we exist. ^_^

Are there issues with racism in fandom? Yep. There were folks who were only interested in watching the Black Panther movie because Bucky was in Wakanda. There are folks who treat Sam like he’s only important when tied to Steve, then there are people who act like Sam and Steve’s friendship isn’t even legit and he’s there just be be therapist for their white faves. There are folks who don’t post anything about Shuri that’s not a headcanon about her and Peter. And yeah, there are some Tony fans who don’t mention Rhodey unless it’s something related to Tony. 

Fandom ignores characters of color left and right, and I wish more people would notice it and do better. I wish they’d even want to do better. But it’s a little irksome (I can’t find the right word) to act like it’s something that only fans of a single character do.

If you have made similar posts complaining to fans of Steve, Bucky, Peter (because how seldom do we see posts about Ned or Michelle), Strange (because people ignore Wong exists), then my bad. Excuse me for going off.
